About us

We want to spread awareness about the problem that is failed integration and encourage people to work towards a welcoming and including society for everyone.

It’s not an uncommon stereotype that Swedish people usually are introverted and asocial, especially when it comes to riding the bus. It’s almost common courtesy to be quiet and not sit down next to someone you don’t know. And when we at Bus4Change started talking about this we realized that this level of asocial behavior might be quite problematic in a country where failed integration is becoming more of a problem.

Research shows that every eighth Swedish youth feel some form of xenophobia towards others. Shielding oneself from other travelers in such a united place as a bus can then allow this negative differentiation of people to fester. This, in tur, leads to failed integration which leads to separated and segregated societies. This needs to change!

We understand that it’s not easy to change an entire society, some might even say that it’s impossible. But we can always start somewhere and what better place than on the bus. Just by changing the way you ride the bus, by being more social and friendly towards the people around you, you can create a more welcoming society.
